Getting ready to get ready

Hi. This blog will chronicle our journey of about 12,000 miles round trip from my house at Southern Shores, NC to Alaska, and hopefully back. I will dictate to my Dad so that he can post every few days, time and internet connection permitting, on what we have been doing. We will use this to show our progress on maps, distance traveled each day, and accumulative miles. Dad will also post pictures of me & mom, and of other interesting sights. Beware, he doesn't really know what he is doing [don't tell him I said this], so things may not go smoothly at first. Just check in when you like at MaggieMayMann.blogspot.com.
